Pilates Was
Designed To
Challenge You.
Pilates is more than exercise. It is a practice of strength, control, coordination, precision, and progressive skill development.
The Pilates Studio for Lifelong Learners.
Pilates is often misunderstood as gentle exercise. In reality, the method was created to develop strength, control, coordination, mobility, and endurance through focused, full-body movement.
At LG Movement, clients are expected to actively participate in learning the Pilates method. Breath, rhythm, transitions, precision, and control are treated as essential components of the practice—not optional details.
The result is more than physical strength. It is confidence, competency, and a deeper understanding of movement.
Where serious practitioners come to train.
LG Movement has become a destination for clients who value exceptional teaching above everything else. Our community includes first-time practitioners committed to learning the Pilates method, alongside Pilates instructors, dancers, physicians, physical therapists, athletes, and clients who have spent years searching for the level of instruction they found here.
Awards are an honor, but they've never been the goal. The goal has always been to teach Pilates exceptionally well.

What Is Pilates?
Pilates is a method of movement designed to improve strength, mobility, coordination, balance, and body awareness through precise, full-body exercise.
Created by Joseph Pilates and originally called Contrology, the method was developed around the idea that physical and mental conditioning should work together. Rather than relying on repetition alone, Pilates emphasizes principles such as concentration, control, precision, breath, flow, and efficient movement patterns.
Through consistent practice, clients learn to move with greater awareness and efficiency. Every exercise is an opportunity to improve posture, coordination, stability, strength, and the relationship between the mind and body.
At LG Movement, Pilates is taught as a method to be learned—not simply a workout to be completed.
What Is a Pilates Workout?
A Pilates workout is fundamentally about quality over quantity.
Every exercise combines strength, mobility, coordination, control, and precision. Rather than rushing through repetitions, clients focus on movement execution, breathing patterns, alignment, transitions, and timing.
Using both the Reformer and Cadillac, Pilates workouts challenge the body through spring resistance, body weight, and progressive movement patterns. The goal is not simply to exercise harder, but to move better.
A Pilates workout should challenge both the body and the mind. Clients leave stronger, more coordinated, and with a deeper understanding of how their bodies move.
